The Program

We had a great 2024 two weekends for our August shows.  Excellent numbers, mostly excellent weather, Ring 3 had to be moved again down to the Hack Arena!  Excellent courses and great company. Whilst we had a small field for the CSI1*-W last year, with babies being born, riders being overseas and the Olympics actually on, it was an excellent class and won very nicely by Mattea Davidson from Jamie Winning Kermond.

The winners of the major classes were: CSI1*-W: Mattea Davidson and Jaybee Vigilante, Futurity: Sarah McMillan and Everest JEP, The Riders’ Cup: Sarah McMillan and Tyrone VDL; Young Rider: Ella Hayward and Edena DP, Amateur: Victoria Hawthorne and Cecee and Junior: Charlie Magnier and Master Stevie G.

As the 2025 Waratah August shows approach rapidly – the entries are huge; the long range weather forecast looks good – and it is shaping up to be an excellent two weekends.

Waratah welcomes Anderson de Moura Lima as the CD in the Indoor. Anderson is the CD for the FEI WC Final next year in Texas – a coup for us to have him at both weekends.

Welcome…

Welcome to the 2024 Waratah August Shows.  After the success of 2023 – it is totally wonderful that we can go straight into 2024 without any interruptions! The program is very similar to 2023 with Ring 3 again heading up to the Olympic Arena (apart from Day 3 of the Warm Up Weekend, when it comes into the Indoor Arena).

Events like Waratah don’t happen without sponsors – and as always an enormous thank you to them, particularly our sponsors who come back each year! Our World Cup sponsors, Apiam Agnes Banks Equine Clinic, EMCEE Apparel, the Douglass Family, Keeden Contracting and Orchard Equestrian – have supported the Waratah WC from the first – and have meant that the prize money offered has been able to be maintained against the economic downturn that is our economy today.

Thank you to all sponsors – most of you are long term supporters of Waratah and we are very grateful for your continued support.

We are looking forward to a couple of fantastic weeks of Jumping at Sydney International Equestrian Centre and we invite you to join us for some of the best Jumping Australia has to offer.

On World Cup Day why not sit for the day and enjoy some great jumping from the comfort of the VIP area.

The VIP area will be open from 10.30am just in time for Morning Tea and you will be able to sit and enjoy the day with the best view in the house, including great food from Mandavilla Catering – with some of the OC’s specials thrown for that home-made Edwena Mitchell feeling!

To Book – waratahshowjumping.com.au or edwena@emcater.com.au or 0419 64 2053
